Abilene Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab

Conditions We Treat in Abilene

You were told to rest it. You rested it. It came back. Or you walked out of an appointment holding a diagnosis, a prescription, and almost nothing you could actually do about it. Meanwhile the pain keeps deciding things for you: which chair you take, how far into the store you get, whether you sleep on that side tonight. That is the position most people are in when they find us. We have been treating it in Abilene since 2005, across two Kansas locations, and the 14 conditions below are what walks through our doors. Every one of them starts the same way, with a hands-on evaluation by a licensed physical therapist who spends the full session with you and tells you honestly what is driving your symptoms.

01What We Treat

Find your condition. Start your recovery.

These are the 14 conditions we treat most often, and the range is wider than people expect from a clinic this size. Back pain and sciatica bring in the most people. Neck pain, shoulder pain, hip and knee pain, and foot and ankle pain are close behind. But we also treat the things that get shrugged off elsewhere: dizziness and vertigo that makes rolling over in bed feel dangerous, balance and gait trouble that has turned a set of stairs into a decision, Parkinson’s, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain that outlived the injury that started it. We handle pre and post surgery work, sports injuries, elbow, wrist and hand pain, and worker’s comp cases from first report through to full duty. Find yours below. If you do not see it listed, call us anyway, because the evaluation is the same either way and so is the honesty about whether we are the right people to help.

02The Difference

We treat the cause, not just the symptom.

Whatever is written on your chart, the approach does not change. You get real, one-on-one time with a licensed physical therapist who treats the cause instead of chasing the symptom, and you stay with that same therapist from your first visit to your last. Your care is grounded in the best available evidence and shaped around what you want back, whether that is a sport, a full shift at work, or simply a night's sleep you do not wake up from. We will not hand you a number of weeks before we have examined you, because any clinic that does is guessing. What we will do is measure where you are on day one, re-measure as we go, and tell you honestly what the numbers say. Most people notice the direction change well before they reach the finish. And you are never one of a crowd on a busy gym floor. In that room, you are the only case that matters.
