Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: September 8, 2026
Abilene Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control or keyboard-only navigation. We want every visitor to be able to learn about our clinics, read about our therapists, and request an appointment without running into a barrier.
Conformance Target
This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the technical standard referenced by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act's 2024 update and is the benchmark most commonly applied in web accessibility litigation and settlements under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
"Conforms" means we have tested against these guidelines and corrected the issues we found. It does not mean the site is perfect. Websites are built with third-party code, embedded services and constantly changing content, and full conformance is an ongoing target rather than a one-time achievement.
Measures We Have Taken
We completed a full accessibility review and remediation pass across every page of this site, including:
- A skip-to-content link and a single, correctly labeled
<main>landmark on every page. - Keyboard access and a visible focus indicator on every interactive element, including the mobile menu, the FAQ accordions and the multi-step appointment form.
- A focus trap, Escape-to-close and return-to-trigger focus behavior on the mobile navigation menu.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and
alt=""oraria-hiddenon purely decorative ones. - Form fields with properly associated labels, required-field indicators, and programmatically exposed error messages.
- Color contrast checked against every background this site uses, with two brand-adjacent colors darkened slightly where the original shade did not meet the 4.5:1 (text) or 3:1 (large text and UI component) minimum. See the note below.
- Full support for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting: every scroll animation, counter and transition either respects it directly or has a CSS fallback that does. - Content that remains fully readable and usable with JavaScript disabled, including page structure, navigation and the animated statistics on the home page.
Where fixing an issue would have required a visible change beyond adding or strengthening a focus indicator, or adjusting a color that failed contrast, we documented it instead of changing it silently, so our team and this clinic's ownership can review it together.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some parts of this site rely on services we do not build or control:
- Google Reviews widget (Elfsight). The scrolling reviews wall on the home page and the review widget on the testimonials page are provided by a third-party service. We have configured what we can, but we cannot guarantee the widget's internal markup meets the same standard as the rest of this site. If it presents a barrier, please contact us and we will read you the reviews or point you to them directly on Google.
- Embedded Google Maps. The location maps on our contact and booking pages are Google's own embedded product. We provide a titled iframe and a plain-text address and phone number next to every map as an alternative.
If you encounter a problem with any part of this site, including the areas above, please let us know using the contact information below. Please do not assume we are already aware of it.

We try to respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days. If you need to book care and this website is not working for you right now, please call us directly at the number above and a real person at the clinic will help you.
Ongoing Review
Accessibility is not a project with an end date. We review this site's accessibility whenever we make significant changes to it, and we treat accessibility feedback the same way we treat a report of any other bug: as something to fix, not something to explain away.
