Tonya Mills
PT/Owner
Tonya Mills, PT and the owner of Abilene Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab, PA. She graduated from Wichita State University in 1990. Tonya has received special training in Womenʼs Health, manual therapy of the spine, vestibular rehabilitation. She is ASTYM certified & NESTA certified as speed, agility and quickness trainer.
Tonya enjoys the outdoors, gardening and traveling. Her husband Sean and sons Colton and Cade have played an integral role in the development of Abilene Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab.

Adam Burns
DPT
Adam Burns earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2004. He completed his undergraduate study at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Adam practiced physical therapy in Arkansas for three and a half years prior to moving to Abilene in February 2008. Adam has experience in acute care, wound care and treating a wide variety of conditions in an outpatient clinic. Adam received his certification in the ASTYM system in August 2008.
Adam enjoys spending time with his wife Kari and their daughters Maddie and Kamryn. Adam also enjoys many sports and outdoor recreation such as backpacking. Adam is a Jayhawk fan, but will always be a Razorback.

Angie Hoerner
PTA/Clinical Director
Angie grew up in Abilene. She attended Kansas State University (Go Cats!) receiving a BA in Speech Pathology and Audiology. After working in the Physical Therapy field as an aide for 4 years, she entered Washburn University's Physical Therapist's Assistant Program. After graduating, she worked in a hospital setting serving inpatients, outpatients, and home health. She's been with Abilene Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab for 4 years. She has extensive training in manual therapy techniques and is ASTYM certified. She also has training in balance and fall prevention, vestibular rehab and biofeedback for incontinence. "I love Physical Therapy and the opportunity to meet new people and to help them get better is the best part!"

Danya Cole
PTA
Danya was born and raised in Abilene. She attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney graduating with a BA in Exercise Science. After suffering a sports related injury in college and receiving physical therapy, she knew immediately that Physical Therapy was the field she wanted to pursue. After graduating from UNK she entered Washburn University’s PTA program and graduated in May ’10.
Danya is very outgoing and loves working with everyone. To see a smile on the patient’s face and knowing you are helping them get better, is the most satisfying part of the job. When Danya is not working, she enjoys the great outdoors. She loves hunting, going to the lake, riding horses and spending time with her family.
