The PTA Caucus Rep is an active participant in their Chapter Delegations, providing information and raising issues related to work and development of PTAs. They also attend the APTA House of Delegates, PTA Caucus meetings, and other PTA related meetings. The Representative serves as a crucial point of contact for the PTA members in their state chapter as well as providing the Chapter Delegation with the PTA’s perspective on issues before the House.

New Equipment

Abilene Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab recently added the NuStep TRS 4000 Recumbent Cross Trainer to our therapy/gym equipment.  It is the most popular recumbent cross trainer in the health care and fitness industries.  It combines a comfortable sitting position with a smooth stepping motion.  It provides simultaneous upper and lower body motion to work all the major muscle groups helping all users burn calories, build strength, and improve their overall cardiovascular fitness.  It stimulates a natural walking motion while eliminating undesirable joint stress and promoting functional fitness.  Its ergonomic design accommodates nearly every body type and size, includes a swivel seat for easy transfer, and has a large, easy to read display. The NuStep exerciser is excellent for aerobic conditioning because it works all of the major muscle groups in both your upper and lower body. The benefit of this total body workout is that your cardiovascular system grows stronger, and your heart, which is a muscle, also becomes stronger and more conditioned.  As a result, you can engage in physical activities without feeling winded.
